Good Morning, Have you done this cruise tour in the past? If yes, please provide us with the NPC and/or NIRB file number. If there is any change in itineray and /or activities from the past tour, please provide details on those changes. **In addtion, this appliocation look a lot like project application#148886- Le Soleal 2018 - Cruise Kangerlussuaq, Greenland to Nome ( same title, similar description , except for the minor shift in the dates). Is this a doubling of submission of the same project? if not could you please clarify the differences. Thank you for your cooperation. Goump Goump

Good day, Thank you for your message. Compagnie du Ponant has operated cruise vessels in the Arctic for many years. This application is for Le Soleal, however her sister ship Le Boreal is completing a very similar itinerary in 2018, and we have also submitted a project application for her (148886). Both Le Soleal and Le Boreal completed almost the identical itineraries in 2017. Last year Le Soleal had a shorter Arctic season, as she called into Quebec and the Atlantic provinces. All activities, equipment and ship standards remain the same from previous seasons, for both vessels. Please see the 2017 NIRB file information for Le Soleal. In 2017 Le Soleal competed screening. 13AN028 Application No.: 125080 Please see the 2017 NPC file information for Le Soleal. NPC APPLICATION 148504 - Conformity Determination Issued Please see the 2017 NIRB file information for Le Boreal. In 2017 Le Boreal was exempt from screening. NIRB File No: 12AN032 Application No.: 125070 Please see the 2017 NPC file information for Le Boreal. NPC APPLICATION 148495 - Closed w/o Conformity Determination Please let us know if we can provide any additional information.
